On Monday 31 July, Maritime UK and the Scottish Maritime Cluster held a Scotland focused networking session around the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (4). The below update contains key information from this session that we hope you will find beneficial.
Background on the CMDC
UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £34 million for innovative clean maritime technologies. This funding is from The Department for Transport.

‘Meeting Mojo’
A platform has been set up for anyone interested in networking with people who have attended the national or regional CMDC4 events. This will stay live for the next few weeks and will allow people to start to build their collaboration partnerships or help fill knowledge and skills gaps.

CMDC4 opportunity to work with a vessel owner!
The group were advised of the following opportunity which may be of interest to you:
The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) owns three ocean class research ships: James Cook, Discovery and Sir David Attenborough. The vessels are being offered to sea-trial innovative marine technologies and sea time would be made available “free at the point of use”. More details on the capabilities of the vessels are available here:
