The UK Department for Transport (DfT) and Innovate UK have announced the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC) Round 7, opening for applications on March 11, 2026. CMDC Round 7 and the Zero Emissions Vessels and Infrastructure (ZEVI) Round 2 are part of a £271 million investment package. This round supports the development of clean maritime fuels and technologies to decarbonise the shipping sector.
Innovate UK Business Connect, alongside DfT, are planning a regional tour to promote UK SHORE Phase 2, with a focus on the upcoming CMDC7 and ZEVI2 competitions. The aim is to help organisations understand the funding, explore collaboration opportunities and develop strong applications.
With this in mind, the Scottish Maritime Cluster will be holding an online seminar in collaboration with Innovate UK and the Department from Transport to update members on Monday 20 April from 2pm-4pm.
