On Thursday 16 January 2025, the Department for Transport announced the sixth round of the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC6), which will allocate up to £30m for pre-deployment trials and feasibility studies in clean maritime solutions between September 2025 and March 2026.
The NSO is committed to ensuring continued R&D support for UK shipbuilding and this support will allow the enterprise to maximise the global maritime decarbonisation opportunity. The application window for CMDC6 opened on 24 January and will close on 16 April 2025.
