Maritime UK, in collaboration with the Department for Transport and Google/Ancoris,  invite you to an ‘AI in Maritime’ discovery session at Googles offices in London.
Details for this event are as follows:
Date:       23 November 2023
Time:       10.00am – 4.30pm
Venue:    123 Buckingham Palace Rd, London SW1W 9SH
Event overview:
The event will be chaired by John Abel (Technical Director, Office of the CTO at Google) and also Tom Chant CEO of SMI. Led by the DfT and Google/Ancoris, the day will feed into DfT’s forthcoming transport AI strategy as well as the Maritime Council. The morning session will be focused on sharing experiences of AI integration from other industries. The afternoon session will be an AI ideation session, using your expertise, paired with AI specialists. The sessions will be grouped within the key five subsectors of Ports, Leisure, Shipping, Professional Services and Engineering to imagine how to collaboratively solve some of our industry’s challenges with AI. The outputs from the workshop will then be shared at the next Maritime Council at the end of November and from that, feed into an AI Task and Finish Group to take the work forward.
Spaces are currently limited, therefore we please ask that should you wish to attend, that you RSVP to Suzanne Fulton (sfulton@maritimeuk.org) as soon as possible.
Many thanks to Chris Shirling- Rooke, Maritime UK CEO, who very kindly flagged this exciting opportunity.
